Ranking the Most Collectible Marvel-Card Characters
Marvel characters, beloved by millions of fans worldwide, have captivated us through a variety of platforms for over nine decades – from comic books, television and movies, to toys, video games and collectibles. However, when it comes to the realm of trading cards, which characters stand at the forefront with collectors?
In creating these rankings, we gathered insights and information from numerous collectors, dealers, and industry insiders. For Marvel-card collecting beginners, we’ve provided a basic history and origin story for each character, including their first comic book and trading card appearances, and other significant cards.
In addition, we have included the number of cards each character has available for sale on the popular marketplace COMC.
This list was compiled under the assumption of equal factors, such as rarity, artwork and design within a given set. These rankings serve as a measure of overall popularity and prestige among character-card collectors. We also took into account the pricing and ranking of Marvel characters in box breaks.
Additionally, we considered the popularity of both comic characters and actors that play those characters within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
